This year's culprit, a garden first Small Brindled Beauty.
Small Brindled Beauty is a moth of mature woodland typically and only rarely ventures into gardens and is absent of many people's garden lists.
This was backed up by three new for year Small Quaker's, infact it was a pretty pleasing catch of 20 moths of 7 species.
Lows of 5.8c this morning but it looks like it's getting cooler again...

SBB! You beat me to it. I think it would be a tall order in my garden with the lack of nearby woodland- well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks Matt, I had to knock it on the head unfortunately as the Spider had damaged it so badly it couldn't fly. Yes I was pretty surprised myself! Cheers.
