I've just recently heard back from Graeme Smith who dissected an Argyresthia species for me which was either laevigatella or glabratella, I did favour the latter because of it's colouration but I wanted to be sure as both foodplants for the species are not very prolific near my garden at all.
It is the 3rd County record of Argyresthia glabratella, after the first record coming from Hertford Heath in 1970 and the second from Balls Wood only last year, both of those records not too far from each other so it is great to put a dot on the map for North Herts.
